Fancy Words with Fancy Nancy

This afternoon we enjoyed reading about a little girl named Nancy in the story Fancy Nancy by Jane O'Connor. Today we met Nancy who believes that more is always better when it comes to being fancy.  Nancy doesn't just use ordinary words, she uses "fancy" words.  She writes her name with a pen that has a plume....that's a fancy word for feather. Nancy is on a mission to make her family fancy.  They go out in their limousine...because that's a fancy name for car and her dad is the chauffer.....because that is a fancy word for driver.

Our wall of Wonderful Outstanding Words (W.O.W)

213 has a "fancy" word wall.  After reading our story we worked to think of some fancy ways to say some ordinary words.
