Today we were lucky to have Mr. Musselman come to Francis Wyman to do some pumpkin scienc with us. We learned about the parts of a pumpkin, jack-o-lanterns, fire, and chemical reactions. Please check out the pictures below... and be sure to ask your child to share what happened today!

We were correct...the fire went out because it burned up the oxygen in the
jack-o-lantern. Without all three elements (fuel, oxygen, and heat) the fire will not burn.
